Let's get over the bad first:
Americans who hate on Japan because of Pearl Harbor during this natural disaster should remember Hiroshima and respect life no matter the nationality or ethnicity.
You have no right to talk about Pearl Harbor if all you know of it is from the movie. Before you go around saying cruel, hurtful things, due to the strength of your reaction to that film, please watch Hayao Miyazaki's Grave of the Fireflies. There are innocents involved, always, and people often had no say in what their leaders and authority decide upon. Keep also in mind that governments change with time, as do opinions.
And some balm for us all:

Date: 2011-03-15 01:58 pm (UTC)2. It was the first film to make me cry. Unfortunately, I was so excited to find it that I made my family watch it on Christmas Day, thinking it another lighthearted tale, and at the end, the whole room was dead silent and depressed.
3. That is perhaps the most cruel and unusual punishment I've ever heard. And I agree one hundred percent.
