I am sooooo coming back to this thing next year! I had the most fun I've ever had in a looooong time.... ^_^

It began with an introduction in A building, who were the hosts and creators (all hail A Building!). There was this neato butcher (loved the blood-stained apron), using a really dull, or fake knife to flatten lumps of what looked like ground meat. A girl dressed in simple, child's frock, told us that A blding was haunted and this bunch of background information I sort of forgot. In the middle, when she said that sometimes, the residents could hear strange noises, and voices with no visible source, a door opened and this guy screamed. My heart slammed into my chest and for a second, seemed to stop--no joke, I was that startled. I clenched my hands together at the shock, but managed not to scream. None of the other four did, either, but from that moment, I knew this would be an awesome experience and totally worth the 15+ minute wait.

I entered the actual haunted house in Tercero Main with Janet, Shevata, Cindi, and Amy (from the quad on my floor) and had a freaking great time screaming my fool head off--the best type of stress reliever there is. There was this insane asylum with girls in pjs and hair combed over their faces. Me'n'everyone else sorta huddled together when they starting circling, then I started screaming, they started screaming, and my friends started screaming, and we all scrambled to the door!

(In this room, one of my shoes fell off, so I sort of lost some of the emotion looking for it. Cindi yanking on my arm made it a little harder...)

Then there was this "Reflections of a dream" room full of strobing light and aluminum foil and this eerie, whispery, hissing sound. I was first in, and the others followed, and then from behind, this dude jumped out at us and screamed! Which, of course, made us scream in turn and we all raced out, screaming all the way.

The tour guide said she appreciated out reactions--guess too many "oh-I'm-too-cool-to-have-good-oldfashioned-fun" jaded silences... -__-'

Then there was this room that resembled the morgue. Bodies covered in white sheets, dim, flourescent lighting, and bare, white walls, except for one difference... There was this evilly-laughing man? woman? cutting into another person, who was giving some really good attempts at groans of pain. Then I noticed that the the tool doing the cutting was glowing, and started laughing. Bad idea-my rather hysterical laughter made the androgenous (in a most negative way) torturer turn around. This, and the fact that one of the "bodies" under the white sheets (the one closes to the door!) was moving. I didn't pause--my laughter turned to true screams (happy ones, of course--I loooove being scared like this) and I didn't even wait for the guide to open the door for me, I yanked it open myself, and we all turned tail and fled.

The last room was like the Reflection room: strobe lights, aluminum wallpaper, and stuff hanging at head height. Being the first to enter, I, being a bit more wary of surprise appearances after the previous rooms, scanned the whole place. Right in front of me, for at this point, I was flat against the wall to the left of the threshold, on the other side of the door, was this person dressed in full horror costume mode. Amy was the only one next to me, and I was still frozen next to the door, while the other three were near the exit. I began to back out, but then, this boy dressed like a young, more fashion conscious IT (Stephen King's clown) entered, and I froze. It Jr. began to slowly advance and I completely lost it. I raced past Amy, who really didn't look that frightened at all, and when the other three saw me, they tore open the exit and we piled out. Behind me, I could hear a popping sound. Logistically, I realize it must've been a balloon, but as full of adrenaline as I was, I screamed my lungs out as we all ran out into the cold, night air.

Yeah, it was fun.

Notes upon notes:

I was the first one in to go into all the rooms, followed by Cindi, who was clinging to my sleeve (I think she was faking it), and Amy, who appears to be fearless. Actually, I think Shevata and Janet were just faking fear too... No fun...

At the door of A building, this girl was asking for donations, but I had no money on me, and after all I saw, I feel really guilty now... They should've put the donation box at the end of the whole thing. People would be much more willing to fork over the cash.
