Ironman.

Just watched Ironman and while the build-up and maturation of the suit was pretty incredible and of course, very cool along with the soundtrack, I preferred The Dark Knight. Tony Stark just wasn't as charismatic as Bruce Wayne and I admire a hero who built himself to be a superhero rather than just the tools. Batman had all the intellect and tools as Stark, but Bruce also trained his body while Stark relied on JARVIS. The agent from SHIELD and the Commissioner are my favorites from their respective movies, however. Minor, but awesome characters will always come first in my fangirl heart.

Now, all I want is a movie where The Batman, Superman, Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, the Hulk, and John Constantine to appear. The Hulk not so much and I DON'T want Hellboy in there. It would be... AWESOME.

Hey, a girl can always dream, can't she? ^_______________^

On another note, redheads are starting to REALLY irritate me. Pepper Potts, Mary Jane, Poison Ivy, Barbara Gordon, Lily Potter... I bet there will be more. xp

The thing about training his body doesn't make much sense - one, Stark kept himself in shape just for vanity and shit. Two, he can't fight the same way as Batman b/c of his heart. In the comic and the movie, he has a heart problem and the suit (or the power thing) keeps him alive. Batman isn't quite is so fragile a state.

Oh. Riiiight~~ I completely forgot about that--probably cause the movie didn't really bring that across really well--Stark was pretty buff for a guy with an artificial heart, so I kept expecting him to be more skilled. Plus, I'm not very familiar with the original comic character. ///^^///

It was nice to see him harden after the kidnapping though--from softly skinny in his playboy days to hardened muscle post-kidnaping. The physical change reinforced his psychological one.

Well, it was really a heart problem. The device in his chest was something that kept all of the shrapnel that lodged into his body from going all the way through and killing him. Which I suppose is basically heart related...Hmm. Yeah. Well. Ironman pwns.

Redheads = Mary Sue hair color of choice

I haven't seen Ironman yet, but everyone seems to think that it's pretty good, so I'm curious.

It couldn't beat Batman in my opinion, but as a movie about the birth of a superhero, it was very good and worth a watch. The actor chosen for Stark wasn't as handsome as I'd hope and I detested the goatee and mustache combo he had, but the story was interesting and while some of the characters weren't very well developed, the action more than made up for it!

So glad you agree with the MS! And they're always green-eyed to boot, no? XD

I liked the humor in Ironman. Cheeseburger?

That was the pinnacle of humor for you? >.>

I found more humor in TDK.

I liked Ironman and The Dark Knight, though I have to say I like Ironman better because the humor was hilarious. :) The Dark Knight's humor was a little more dark, and I liked the girl less in The Dark Knight. I didn't mind Pepper as much in Ironman.

Comparing bad guys, I liked the Joker and Two Face better. Ironman's bad man was such an asshole that I really wanted to strangle the man throughout the entire movie. And I couldn't believe that Stark's trusted the slimy man so much. *shakes head*

My favorite part of Ironman was the last line of the movie. "I AM Ironman." *dies laughing at the awesomeness of the one-liner*

And Ironman didn't make me cry at the end like The Dark Knight did. -_-;; Plus, Ironman's awesome suit...but the Batmobile's transformation...XDD Can you tell I really liked the gadgets bits of both movies? <333

One point that we do agree happily on--the minor characters are awesome. I really liked Stark's connection into the government (SHIELD) and I really liked Police Commissioner Gordon. XDD

One thing though, wasn't SHIELD an enemy for the X-men in their 'verse?

[identity profile] darkestnight12.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
XD I have no idea. I don't really remember...I thought the X-men enemy was Magneto? And the "normal" people aka the government which might have been named SHIELD. Come to think of it, didn't X-Men: Evolution have an episode of this old guy with an eye patch that tries to attack them? Wasn't he from SHIELD or something like that? Hmm. It's been too long. ^_^;; I don't remember.

Maybe there are two different SHIELDs. Like SHIELD and SHEILD. XDD
